Suicide Prevention Awareness Month: Aptive Keeps a Light On

Posted on 09.07.23

Aptive recognizes National Suicide Prevention Awareness Month with a spotlight on the team’s important work with PREVENTS, the President’s Roadmap to Empower Veterans and End a National Tragedy of Suicide.

PREVENTS answers the call to improve the quality of life of our nation’s Veterans with a roadmap that includes designing effective program and services, building a research ecosystem and keeping a holistic view of the overall health and well-being of those who have served our country. PREVENTS holds the belief that suicide is preventable and Aptive keeps a light on toward this mission every day.

This month we encourage you, too, to keep a light on to show your hope and support for Suicide Prevention Awareness month.

Developing a plan to support a Presidential Executive Order on suicide prevention

Presidential Executive Order 13861, the President’s Roadmap to Empower Veterans and End a National Tragedy of Suicide (PREVENTS), requires the federal government to develop a plan to improve Veterans’ quality of life, prevent suicide and strengthen partnerships across the public and private sectors. Aptive supports the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Veterans Health Administration (VHA) in advancing its suicide prevention efforts through project management, program support and evaluation services.
