Aptive Receives Strategic Communications Contract from Department of Transportation

Posted on 05.29.24

Aptive received a contract award from the Department of Transportation (DOT) Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) to support a communications strategy for the FMCSA’s Motor Carrier Safety Applied Analysis Program. This award was issued through the DOT Services for Technical Writing, Editorial, Presentations and Communication (STEPC) indefinite-delivery indefinite-quantity contract.

The FMCSA’s Analysis program collects, analyses and disseminates data on roadway crashes, FMCSA safety activities and the operations and safety performance of motor carriers and drivers. The program provides critical information and analysis to FMCSA’s program areas and field organization and to the larger transportation community, including state partners, other government agencies, researchers, the motor carrier industry, safety advocacy groups and the public. Users access FMCSA data and analysis through an information resource tool, Analysis and Information (A&I) Online.

Aptive and teaming partner Artemis ARC will support the communications strategy for the A&I Online tool, which includes conducting a stakeholder analysis, crafting messaging and developing tactics to inform FMCSA’s program areas, field organization and larger transportation community.

“FMCSA provides important information on roadway crashes, safety activities and safety performance of motor carriers and drivers,” said Kim Kinser, director of human experience at Aptive. “Our team looks forward to supporting this initiative and enhancing the communications and outreach to a wide range of stakeholders.”
