Aptive Awarded Health Care Staffing Services Certification From Joint Commission
Aptive has earned Joint Commission’s Gold Seal of Approval® for Health Care Staffing Services Certification by demonstrating continuous compliance with performance standards. The Gold Seal is a symbol of quality that reflects a health care organization’s commitment to providing safe, high-quality patient care.
Health care staffing firms place temporary staff in organizations that direct or provide patient care. Health Care Staffing Services Certification demonstrates Aptive’s efforts to address how qualifications and competencies of staff are determined, how staff are placed and how their performance is monitored.
Aptive underwent a rigorous review in November 2025, during which a team of Joint Commission surveyors evaluated compliance with certification standards, including program management, staff placement and competency assessment, and processes that support safe, effective clinical care. Joint Commission standards are developed in consultation with health care experts and providers, measurement specialists and patients. Reviewers also conducted onsite observations and interviews.
“Health Care Staffing Services Certification recognizes health care staffing firms committed to striving for excellence and fostering continuous improvement in patient safety and quality of care,” said Ken Grubbs, DNP, MBA, RN, Executive Vice President of Accreditation and Certification Operations and chief nursing officer at Joint Commission. “We commend Aptive for using Joint Commission certification process to reduce variation in clinical processes and to strengthen its clinical program to drive safer, higher quality and more compassionate care for individuals served.”
“Aptive is proud to join the small group of staffing organizations nationwide that have achieved this certification,” said Meredith Singh, Vice President for Health Care Staffing. “This recognition reflects the rigor we apply to every part of our staffing program, from validating clinical competencies to ensuring our professionals are equipped to deliver exceptional patient care. It’s a testament to our team’s commitment to quality and patient safety, and our mission to support health systems with dependable, highly capable clinical staff.”
To prepare for certification, Aptive completed a comprehensive internal review of its staffing policies, documentation standards, competency verification processes and clinical oversight procedures. The team enhanced audit workflows, standardized credentialing steps and implemented additional quality checks to ensure alignment with Joint Commission expectations for safety, reliability and performance.
