Ralph Wallace Named Chairman of Newly Founded US IPv6 Council

Aptive HTG has won a contract to provide third-party independent evaluation, analysis and reporting on Veterans Health Administration (VHA) mental health programs and suicide prevention services. The one-year task order runs through November 2021 and includes four option years, with a total value of $10 million.
Aptive HTG will gather data to compare the effectiveness of eight programs across differences in conditions, outcome measures, intensity of care, presence of medical and mental health comorbidities and other characteristics, including demographics. All program-specific analyses will include an examination of gender differences in clinical outcomes, cost and program effectiveness.
Aptive HTG will also review the extent to which the VA Clinical Practice Guidelines for Opioid Therapy affect VHA’s suicide prevention mission. VA will report program evaluation findings, including cost effectiveness and Veteran satisfaction with care, to Congress by December 1 of each year, as required under the Clay Hunt Suicide Prevention for American Veterans Act.
“Assessments of these programs are vital to informing VHA’s ongoing efforts to prevent Veteran suicide,” said Jason Ormsby, PhD, Aptive’s Chief Healthcare Innovation Officer. In 2018, an average of 17.6 Veterans died by suicide each day, according to the 2020 National Veteran Suicide Prevention Annual Report.
The Clay Hunt Act Support task order falls under the Integrated Healthcare Transformation (IHT) Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract. Under this IDIQ, Aptive HTG and IHT partners support VHA across a variety of areas as needs arise, including health care modernization and transformation, financial management business transformation, analytics and mental health and suicide prevention.
