Aptive Welcomes Dr. Kelly Sanders as Director of Health Services Aptive is pleased to announce the appointment of Kelly Sanders, DrPH, MPH, as Director of Health Services. Dr. Sanders leads ongoing evaluation and organizational transformation efforts for Aptive’s federal health clients.

Dr. Sanders has 15 years of experience leading public health and health care initiatives in the public sector. She has led high-impact projects centered around preeminent health concerns including suicide prevention, mental health, emergency preparedness and response, women’s health, Veteran and Service member health, childhood obesity and rural health.

Dr. Sanders is an expert in secondary research, program evaluation and measurement, strategic planning, program management, health information management and revenue cycle management, qualitative data collection and analysis, health communication, change management, performance improvement, technical assistance and translational science. She has applied this expertise in her support of federal clients including the Veterans Health Administration, Defense Health Agency, Department of State, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the Assistant Secretary for Preparedness and Response.

Prior to joining Aptive, Dr. Sanders was a Director with Sigma Health Consulting, leading research and modernization efforts across federal health accounts. She holds a Doctor of Public Health degree from the University of Illinois, a Master of Public Health degree in Epidemiology from the University of Toledo College of Medicine and a Bachelor’s degree in Movement Science from the University of Michigan.

Fairfax County Taps Aptive to Strengthen Public Health Workforce

Aptive received a three-year contract to provide public health workforce operations for Fairfax County, Virginia. Moving beyond traditional staff augmentation, this partnership will leverage advanced operational strategies to support the county’s health department with staffing across critical public health roles, including community health workers, epidemiologists, laboratory staff, and administrative personnel.
