Aptive Named 2024 Employer of the Year by Disabled American Veterans

Disabled American Veterans (DAV) has named Aptive a 2024 Employer of the Year, recognizing the company’s support for Veterans through recruitment and hiring practices, employment policies and community outreach.

Aptive, a management consulting firm based in Alexandria, Virginia, was chosen for the national-level honor over numerous other midsize organizations that include companies, firms and associations with between 250 and 999 employees. DAV recognizes companies with the Employer of the Year award in three categories: small, midsize and large.

Aptive prioritizes hiring Veterans, transitioning service members, military spouses, reservists and National Guard members through focused recruitment activities, training and internship programs and industry networking opportunities.

Aptive also created a Veterans Experience Council (VXC), a diverse group of Veterans and military stakeholders that help the company better understand their needs and design services and solutions that meet them. Council advisors are part-time Aptive employees who are invited to participate in periodic surveys, focus groups or review sessions — or to test new features or tools. Advisors may transition to full time employment or participate in other Veteran-focused Aptive programs.

The company’s Aptive Cares Program offers volunteer and financial support to Veteran organizations including Wreaths Across America, Honor Flight, Toys for Tots and Fisher House Foundation.

DAV will present the national employer awards Aug. 6 during its 2024 National Convention in Phoenix.
