Aptive Employees Log More Than 4,000 Miles for Fitness Frenzy 2026, Rally Around Veterans’ Health
Aptive is a Veteran-owned healthcare company built around supporting the health and wellbeing of Veterans, so when the company’s annual Fitness Frenzy challenge wrapped up Aug. 31, the mileage was only part of the story.
Over six weeks, participating employees logged a combined 4,089 miles through running, cycling, swimming and more, all in support of the National Disabled Veterans Winter Sports Clinic. Through Aptive Cares, the company’s philanthropic arm, Aptive made a donation to the clinic, which brings adaptive skiing, sled hockey, rock climbing and other activities to about 400 disabled Veterans each year in Snowmass, Colorado.
“Fitness Frenzy is one of my favorite weeks of the year, not because of the mileage, but because of what it says about who we are,” said Paige Harris, chair of Aptive Cares. “Watching our own team show up for each other for six straight weeks, all in support of the Winter Sports Clinic, is exactly the kind of thing Aptive Cares exists to celebrate.”
The competition was tight all summer. Zak Khaliqi logged more miles than anyone at the company, 493 in total, and tied Ananda Dryer for Most Active Days, with both of them moving every single day of the six-week challenge. Jennifer Cunningham and Cristina Price took Most Improved. Team 2, made up of Brian Kaiser, Caitlin Crafton, Erica Akpan and Jenny Holt, claimed Top Team honors with the highest average active days per member. Other winners included Best Team Spirit: Emily Richardella, Best Photo: Tami Morin and Family MVP: Ananda Dryer’s dogs Max and Chiara.
