Engaging with and helping others is central to Aptive’s corporate culture. Through the Aptive Cares program, staff participate in community engagement and service activities that align with our organizational priorities and the unique needs of Veterans. We support the following organizations:

TecHacks is a hackathon aiming to bridge the gender gap by enabling female high school and college students to find a passion in computer science and problem solving. Aptive supports the building of a pipeline of future female engineers and computer scientists through hackathon sponsorship.

Aptive is a proud sponsor of the 2021 Marine Corps Marathon, one of the largest marathons in the world. Our volunteers support U.S. Marines on race day by handing out packets, attending food and water stations, and assisting at the start and finish areas.

Wreaths Across America works throughout the year to show Veterans and their families that we will not forget their service. Aptive staff participate in wreath laying ceremonies at Arlington National Cemetery and across the country each year.

Racial, social and geopolitical inequalities fuel maternal health disparities around the world, including the U.S., where Black women are three times more likely to die from pregnancy and childbirth. Aptive donations support Every Mother Counts as they advance birth justice through public education, community engagement and grant making, ensuring mothers experience quality, respectful and appropriate maternity care.

Active Heroes supports military Service members, Veterans and their families through physical, educational and emotional programs in an effort to eliminate suicide. Volunteer activities include serving as peer mentors, event team leaders and being ambassador athletes.

The Capital Area Food Bank leads our region's efforts to provide food to people struggling with hunger and food insecurity. Aptive provided a match to an employee-driven fundraiser for this essential organization.

Creating belonging and advancing equity for underrepresented Veterans, including women, people of color, LGBTQ and religious minorities. Aptive contributions support advocacy and programs.

Team Rubicon leverages the unique skillsets of Veterans and civilians to provide disaster and emergency response. Aptive donates funds to support humanitarian relief for communities hit hardest by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Aptive is proud to support the largest civil rights organization in the United States, the NAACP. Our donations contribute to ongoing work supporting racial justice through litigation, advocacy and public education.

Boot Campaign provides life-improving programs for Veterans and military families nationwide. The comprehensive health and wellness program targets the big five invisible wounds: PTSD, traumatic brain injury, chronic pain, self-medication and insomnia. Aptive’s financial contributions support these programs.

Carpenter’s Shelter helps people who are homeless achieve sustainable independence through shelter, guidance, education and advocacy. Aptive volunteers assist with meals preparation, activities and facility maintenance.

Honor Flight transports Veterans from across the country to Washington, D.C. to visit memorials dedicated to honoring those who have served and sacrificed for our country. Aptive staff serve as volunteer greeters at Reagan National Airport to welcome Veterans to the nation’s capital.
