Aptive today announced the appointment of Rashmi Bhalla, MBA, PMP as Director of Health Services. In her new role, Ms. Bhalla supports the Veterans Health Administration (VHA) Office of Healthcare Transformation, which includes 14 work streams providing program management, integration and implementation support for various VHA initiatives, such as the Electronic Health Record Modernization, Federal Supremacy, MISSION Act implementation, COVID-19 response, Medical Health Care Improvement Act and VHA Modernization Lanes of Effort, in addition to other strategic initiatives and emerging priorities. She currently leads a team supporting VHA with a health equity functional assessment.
Ms. Bhalla is a PMI-certified Program Management Professional with over 22 years of experience leading complex and diverse programs for federal and commercial clients. She has experience in program and project management, financial management and reporting, financial analysis, financial modeling, grants management and reporting. Prior to joining Aptive, Ms. Bhalla was a Director with Grant Thornton's Public Sector practice in Financial Management Services, where she supported federal clients including the Department of Homeland Security and the Department of Veterans Affairs Office of Information and Technology.

Ms. Bhalla, who originally hails from Los Angeles, holds Master’s degrees in Business Administration and International Affairs from American University and Bachelor’s degrees in Politics and Legal Studies from the University of California. She is a certified as a Six Sigma Green Belt, an ISO 9001:2015 internal auditor and as a Project Management Professional.
