Aptive Supports Department of Transportation Through New Campaign Contracts

Posted on 10.05.20

The U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) awarded two contracts to Aptive to provide comprehensive marketing, communications and advertising services. In support of the Protect Your Move campaign, Aptive provides integrated media, marketing and advertising services. Aptive will refresh and rebrand the campaign which aims to raise consumer awareness regarding potential fraud issues that arise during a move; tips on how to avoid becoming a victim; and consumer rights and responsibilities. Key contract activities include strategic planning, research and evaluation, creative development and production, and traditional and digital media planning and execution.

As part of FMCSA’s mission to improve commercial motor vehicle (CMV) safety and reduce crashes involving large trucks and buses, the agency is eager to support programs that increase the pool of responsible, well-qualified drivers for the industry. Individuals with military driving experience, including member of the Reserve and National Guard, Veterans, and those transitioning from active duty to the civilian work force are excellent candidates for transportation careers in the commercial motor vehicle industry. Aptive supports this mission by implementing a campaign focused on increasing the availability of well-trained, qualified and experienced CMV drivers, while supporting those who have served our nation. The outreach campaign will raise awareness and visibility for the Military Driver Programs though creative development, production, media planning and execution.

“We are honored to support DOT, whose mission aligns seamlessly with Aptive’s own mission to improve the quality of life for all American people and communities,” said Aptive Vice President for Communications and Marketing Aly Glick.

“I’m confident that Aptive’s deep experience and proven campaign approaches will enable DOT to deliver on its mission to improve the safety and security of roads and traveling while providing employment opportunities for individuals transitioning from the military and Veterans.”
