Rachele founded Aptive with a goal of leveraging technology and communications to improve organizational performance and support our nation’s Veterans.

With this mission in mind and using skills acquired over an eclectic career — serving in the military, working as an engineer at the Naval Research Lab and leading national scale marketing and communications campaigns. Rachele offers Aptive’s clients fresh perspectives, unique insights and committed partnership.

Rachele has led complex, high-profile engagements spanning strategic communications, technology transformations, and organizational change management. Since forming Aptive her work has impacted the opioid epidemic; Veteran homelessness, suicide prevention, access to care, health technology and national defense.

Nashira Nicholson – Director

Nashira is an accomplished management consulting executive, change leader, program manager and facilitator.

At Aptive, she leads organizational change and employee engagement initiatives, specializing in helping clients move beyond the threshold of planning to implementing practical programs that translate into impactful results. Nashira is also skilled in data-based solutions to improve worker performance and organizational leadership.

She applies her experience leading engagements of up to $20 million to provide technical consulting and oversight of Aptive teams responsible for human capital, change management, strategy development and business process improvement.

Alyson Glick – Director

Alyson is a proven problem solver and leader. She oversees communications, change management, project management and strategic planning services to public-sector organizations. At Aptive, Alyson applies data analysis and human centered design approaches to engineer process and create more functional organizations and more cohesive teams.

Alyson has helped lead complex projects involving implementation of a medical appointment scheduling system and human resources technology, ensuring the development of high-quality products and smooth adoption of new processes. She has supported projects for multiple federal agencies, including the U.S. Census Bureau, U.S. departments of Agriculture and Veterans Affairs, and the Defense Health Agency.

Shakir Babb – Design Lead

Shakir is a creative professional whose innovative designs reflect experiences in both the public and private sectors.

At Aptive, Shakir leads large, complex, and targeted visual communications campaigns for video, print and digital formats. He directs teams creating branding, strategic advertising, presentations, publications, 3D models and more. His high-end, thoughtful graphic designs reflect diverse knowledge of communications across many mediums and technical prowess with Creative Cloud Suite, Apple Keynote, Microsoft PowerPoint, Google SketchUp and other software.

Kay Bagchi - Director

Ms. Kay Bagchi provides leadership across Aptive's Portfolio, Program and Project Management (PPM) contracts for federal civilian and Department of Defense clients. Kay leads multi-functional teams of various sizes delivering strategic planning, program and project controls, governance, integrated scheduling, data analysis, and organizational change management support. Ms. Bagchi's background spans federal government clients including Department of Treasury, Internal Revenue Service (IRS), General Services Administration (GSA), National Institutes of Health (NIH), as well a commercial enterprises in the finance and health sector.

Erika Fitzpatrick – Editorial Lead

Erika is a senior communicator with a nearly 20-year career in writing, editing and publications development.

At Aptive, she relies on her diverse expertise — managing and editing content, drafting news and creative copy, and transforming jargon into readable materials — to ensure editorial consistency across products and platforms.

With a well-rounded background reporting on Congress and the federal agencies and communicating about topics as varied as benefits for Veterans, health care, education, financial education, geospatial science and transportation, Erika helps Aptive execute projects with speed and precision.
